| ABOUT THIS COFFEE |
This coffee beans are processed using the well-hulling method. Wet-hulling is a rustic method that was invented as a way of drying the green beans more quickly in a rainy, wet environment. Similar to the washed process, the coffee beans are harvested, pulped, and fermented, then rinsed clean the next morning. and produces the classic Indonesia taste -results to a velvety thick, widely aromatic and rich taste.
Wet-hulled (or giling basah) coffee beans from the Ratawali area of Aceh Gayo, Sumatra, are best described as having an earthy, bold, and full-bodied profile with low acidity and complex notes of dark chocolate, rich caramel and exotic spices. The unique flavor is a direct result of the specific wet-hulling process used in Indonesia, which was adapted for the region's high humidity and frequent rainfall.
Wet-hulled Sumatra coffee is well-known for its rich, heavy, and syrupy body, providing a velvety and robust mouthfeel. This coffee has a low and muted acidity, a key differentiator from most other coffee processing methods. This gives it a smoother, more rounded feel in the cup. Expect a rich and long-lasting finish aftertaste
